Glitch
GLITCH
This series of prints was inspired by a specific phase of the Cubist movement known as Synthetic Cubism. During this phase, traditional Cubist art became simplified with a further developed contrast and distinction between colors, materials, and represented objects.
The drawings in this series attempt to re-envision the Synthetic Cubist approach in representing a visual dialect for our digital culture. They are symbolic of our culture's growing familiarity and tolerance with glitches in software processing, communication devices, and other digital applications. They represent our evolving ability to interpolate information from fractured or broken streams of data.
