Greenhouse in Skokie is a flagship dispensary and education hub for recreational cannabis company, Grassroots. An existing building at 10000 Skokie Boulevard was revived with enhanced forms that capture a sense of motion across the site. 

Rippling crests fade into and out-of existence as the primary sweeping form lifts at its center to reveal a memorialized curtain wall. Existing glazing is treated with new film that allows diffused daylight to illuminate the interior space while protecting the privacy of internal operations. 

The building’s flowing lines continue inside guiding patrons between levels and across an existing double height mezzanine space.
